Crispin Blaze was born into a proud family of fire-breathing dragons.

　　“Every Blaze breathes fire，”explained his father， I breathe fire，

　　爸爸解释给他听，“家族里每个恐龙都会喷火的，爸爸也会。”

　　Your mother breathes fire， Tomorrow， when you turn seven，you‘ll breathe fire too.“

　　妈妈也会喷火的，明天，你就7岁了，你也会开始会喷火的。

　　The little dragon imagined all the forests he would burn down.

　　小恐龙想象着他可以喷火燃烧整个深林。

　　He dreamed of all the castles he would destroy.

　　他幻象着他可以喷火摧毁整个城堡。

　　He also considered boiling water to make tea， but he didn’t tell his father that.

　　他也考虑过要煮沸开水来冲茶，但是他不告诉爸爸那水是刚刚沸开的。

　　The next day ，Crispin sat among family and friends as a  big cake was brought to the table.

　　第二天，Crispin坐在家人和朋友之间因为有一个大蛋糕放在桌上。

　　“Who will light the birthday candles？” his mother asked.

　　妈妈问：“谁要点生日蜡烛呢？”

　　“I will！” declared Crispin. He could feel a tingling inside his tummy.

　　Crispin宣布说“我会！”他能感觉到他的肚子里一阵阵刺痛。

　　But when he opened his mouth，fire did not come out.

　　但是当他张口，并没有火喷出来。

　　Whipped cream came out.

　　是鲜奶油都喷出来！

　　“ Crispin！” shouted his father .“Dragons breathe fire！”

　　爸爸大声喝道“Crispin，我们是喷火恐龙，喷出来的是火！”

　　“ What will  the neighbors think？”worried his mother.

　　妈妈担心睇说“怎么办，小恐龙不会喷火？邻居会怎样想我们Crispin呢？

　　“ I love whipped cream，”said his little sister Ashley.

　　Crispin的小妹妹Ashley却说我喜欢鲜奶油。

　　The little dragon was whisked off to the doctor the very next day.

　　第二天，小恐龙马上去看医生。

　　“Please fix my son，”demanded Crispin‘s father.

　　Crispin爸爸请求医生一定要医好我的儿子。

　　“What seems to be the problem？” asked the doctor.

　　医生问：”你儿子有什么问题呢？“

　　Crispin opened his mouth and breathed. But fire did not come out.

　　Crispin张开他的嘴巴，并喷。但是没有喷出火。

　　Band-Aids came out.”I see，“ said the doctor gravely.

　　却喷出创口贴。医生严肃地说，好的，我明白了。

　　“Dragons should breathe fire，”insisted Cripsins’s father.

　　Cripsins‘s的爸爸坚持说”恐龙是应该喷火的。

　　“We were low on Band-Aids，”mumbled the nurse.

　　护士叽叽咕咕地说“我们刚好缺创口贴。”

　　The doctor sent Crispin home with medicine.

　　医生开了一些药让Crispin带回家吃。

　　He swallowed two teaspoons before going to school.

　　小恐龙在去上学前就吞下2茶匙的药。

　　“It will be help you become a real dragon，” said his father with a wink.

　　爸爸使眼色地对小恐龙说“它会帮助你成为真正的恐龙。“

　　After school，Crispin jointed his first fire breathing practice.

　　课后，Crispin参加他第一堂喷火练习课。

　　One by one，little dragons aimed their fiery breath at stacks of logs until they burst into flames.

　　一个个地轮流来，小恐龙瞄准成推的木头深呼吸直到他们要喷出火苗。

　　Crispin stepped up confidently.He could feel the medicine bubbling in his belly.

　　Crispin自信地加强力度，他可以感觉到胃里的药力开始起作用。

　　But when he opened his mouth，fire did not come out.

　　但是当他张开嘴，还是没有喷出火。

　　Marshmallows came out.

　　却喷出棉花糖。

　　“Dragons breathe fire！”yelled the coach.“Isn’t that right，class？”

　　教练大声喊叫说“恐龙们要喷火，这样才对啊？同学们！”

　　The other dragons didn‘t answer.

　　其他的小恐龙没有回答教练。

　　they were too busy looking for pointy sticks for marshmallow roasting.

　　因为他们太忙在找木棒来烤棉花吃。

　　I guess I’m not a real dragon.Crispin thought.

　　Crispin想，我可能不是一只真正的喷火恐龙。

　　He worried that his family would be disappointed.

　　他担心家人因此会对他很失望。

　　So he ran away from home。

　　于是他离家出走。

　　The world can be a scary place for a little dragon who can‘t breath fire.

　　世界之大总有一个地方给不会喷火的小恐龙栖息的。

　　Crispin found a dark cave.“ I’ll be a fireless dragon all by myself.“

　　Crispin发现已经漆黑的洞。我要做独一无二的不会喷火的自己。

　　I won‘t bother anyone，and on one will bother me.”

　　我不会打扰任何人，并且任何人也不好打扰我。

　　An hour later，he had a visitor.

　　过了一个小时后，他有一个访客了。

　　“I am Sir George，” squeaked a thin， shiny knight.

　　“我叫George先生”一个瘦瘦地穿着擦亮的盔甲的武士吱吱地说。

　　“Sh-sh-show yourself dragon！”

　　“恐龙，拿出你的看见本领来！”

　　Crispin shuffled out the cave.

　　Crispin从洞里摇曳地出了。

　　The thin，shiny knight held up his thin， shiny sword.

　　那个瘦瘦地穿着擦亮的盔甲的武士挥出它锋利的宝剑。

　　“D-d-do your worst，dragon！”

　　”恐龙，拿出你的看见本领来！“

　　Crispin opened his mouth，But fire did not come out.

　　Crispin张开他的嘴巴，但是没有火喷出来。

　　Soap bubbles came out.”Don’t you breath fire，dragon？“

　　却喷出肥皂泡。“难到你不会喷火吗？恐龙”武士惊讶地说。

　　Crispin shook his head.“I can‘t.”

　　Cirspin摇摇头说，我不会！

　　Sir George moaned.“But my father insists that I fight a fire-breathing dragon.

　　George先生抱怨着地说但是我们爸爸坚持我要跟一只会喷火的恐龙对决啊！

　　It even says here in my book that your typical dragon breathes fire.”

　　我们的书上甚至记载你们典型的恐龙是可以喷火的。“

　　“I’m not your typical dragon，”Crispin explained.

　　Crispin解释说”我可能不是你们说的典型恐龙。”

　　Sir George sighed.“I can‘t go home.”

　　George先生叹气地说“我不能回家了。“

　　“Me neither.” Crispin nodded.But then he had an idea.

　　Crispin点点头说我也是。但是它有突然有一个注意。

　　“Maybe your book could tell us what to do.”

　　“可能你的书上有记载的可以告诉我们该怎么做。”

　　“Of course！” Sir George searched through the pages.

　　”当然可以。”于是George现在搜查几页之后。“

　　“It says it’s probably just your diet.”

　　“书上记载可能是你的饮食问题。”

　　Sir George fed Crispin spicy curry ，scorching chili and blistering salsa.

　　George先生把辣咖喱，灼热的辣椒和麻辣调味汁都往Crispin嘴里塞。

　　Crispin opened his mouth，But fire did not come out.

　　Crispin张开嘴，但是没有喷出火。

　　Red party streamers came out.

　　却喷出红色派对彩带。

　　“At least they‘re the right color，” said Sir George kindly.

　　George安慰地说“最少喷出的颜色是对啊，是红色。”

　　Sir George searched through the book again.“Aha！ It says it’s probably your attitude.”

　　George先生再翻阅古书。“啊哈，书上记载说可能你的态度影响着你喷火的技能。”

　　Sir George showed Crispin how to look mean and angry enough to breathe fire.

　　George现在给Crispin示范如何看起来很卑鄙的和生气的样子，足够可以令小恐龙喷出火的。

　　Crispin opened his mouth，But fire did no come out.

　　Crispin张开嘴，但是没有喷出火。

　　Soft， cuddly teddy bears came out.

　　却喷出软绵绵的，可爱的泰迪熊。

　　“Hmmm，” said Sir George，“we may have taken a step backward.”

　　George 说，“不对，我们应该采用倒退的方法。“

　　“It‘s no use，” Crispin sighed.“I’m just not your typical dragon.”

　　Crispin叹气地说：“没有用的了，我真的不是典型的会喷火的恐龙了。”

　　But Sir George was not ready to give up.

　　但是George先生并不打算放弃。

　　“Aha！The book sayas you‘re too stressed.”

　　“啊！书上还记载说你可能太大压力了。”

　　Sir George made Crispin close his eyes while he described a quiet， relaxing day at the ocean.

　　George先生要Crispin闭上眼睛安静地想象你现在在一个非常安静放松的海滩上。

　　“Do you feel calm？Now imagine a hundred shiny knights attacking you！”

　　”你是不是感到很平静呢？现在你要想象有一百位武士在袭击你！“

　　Grispin opened his mouth，But fire did not come out. Beach balls came out.

　　Crispin张开嘴，但是没有喷出火。却喷出沙滩排球。

　　“Well， that’s just plain weird.”

　　“好吧，这真是很诡异。”

　　Secretly，Sir George was glad that Crispin couldn‘t breathe fire.

　　George暗暗地开心Crispin不会喷火。

　　He liked the little dragon and didn’t want to fight him.

　　因为他很喜欢小恐龙并不想跟他决战。

　　Crispin liked the shiny knight， too.but he missed his parents.

　　Crispin也很喜欢身穿盔甲的武士，但是他很想念他们的爸爸妈妈。

　　“Sir George，it‘s getting dark， I want to go home .”

　　“George先生，快天黑了，我要回家了。“

　　The shiny knight patted him on the back，

　　George先生拍拍小恐龙的背说，

　　“Don’t worry， little dragon， I will take you.

　　不用担心，小恐龙，我会送你回去的。

　　Cripin‘s parents were relieved when he arrived home safely.

　　Cripin的父母看到小恐龙安全回到家才放下心头大石。

　　Sir George was about to say good-bye when they heard a shout.

　　George先生正准备道别的时候他们听到一个喊叫声。

　　“There you are， boy！ Why on earth are you playing with a fire-breathing dragon？”

　　”孩子，你在这里啊！为什么不在陆地跟喷火恐龙一比高低？

　　“ He’s my friend，Father，” Whispered Sir George，“and besides，he doesn‘t breathe fire.”

　　“George先生小声地说，”爸爸，他说我的朋友，并且他并不会喷火啊。”

　　“A dragon that doesn’t breathe fire？

　　”一只不会喷火的恐龙？

　　That‘s the silliest thing I’ve ever heard.“The shiny man laughed.

　　“这是我听过最愚蠢的笑话啊。”穿着盔甲的男人笑着说。

　　Crispin‘s father stormed out of the house .“My son is not silly！”

　　Crispin的爸爸破门而出，生气地说”我的儿子不是蠢材！”

　　He may not breathe the fire，but I certainly do！“

　　他可能不会喷火，但是我会啊！

　　Crispin’s father let out a powerful spray of flames.

　　Crospin的爸爸喷出强有力的喷雾的火焰。

　　“Do your worst，dragon！” declared the shiny man.

　　穿盔甲的男人宣战地说“你放马过来吧！“

　　But then the flames scorched the lawn.

　　不用一会火焰烧焦了草地的草。

　　“That‘s enough，honey.” said Crispin’s mother.

　　”亲爱的，够了，”Crispin的妈妈说。

　　The flames singed the fence.

　　火焰已经蔓延到栅栏了。

　　“You‘ve make your point， dear， now stop showing off，” she scolded.

　　妈妈训斥地说：“亲爱的，你已经达到目的了，现有要停止喷火啦。“

　　Then the flames ignited the roof.

　　然后屋顶都着火了。

　　Crispin’s father panicked，” I can‘t stope breathing fire！“

　　Crispin的爸爸惊慌失措地说，“我不会停止不喷火啊！”

　　“You’ll burn out house down！” cried his mother .

　　妈妈呼喊着：“你会摧毁我们的房屋啊！“

　　“You‘ll burn down the whole neighborhood！”

　　”并且连邻居的房屋都全部摧毁的！“

　　Dragons came running from all directions.

　　邻居们都往不同方向逃离火场。

　　They knew how to start fires，but no one knew how to stop them.

　　他们只知道如何喷火，但是没有人知道如何可以让他们停止。

　　Crispin suddenly felt a tingling in his tummy. He felt a bubbling in his belly.

　　Crispin突然感到他的肚子里一阵刺痛。他觉得在他的胃在冒泡。

　　He opened his mouth，But fire did not come out.

　　Crispin张开嘴，但是没有喷出火。

　　A gush of water shot out！

　　一股水喷出来！

　　Crispin aimed the water at his father’s flames. He saved his home。

　　Crispn对准他爸爸的火焰喷出水。他拯救了他的家园。

　　and even saved the shiny man， who wasn‘t looking so shiny anymore.

　　甚至还拯救那个再也不那么高傲的穿盔甲的男人。

　　“ Hurray for Crispin ！”everyone shouted.

　　“Crispin，万岁！”每个人都呼叫着.“

　　On Crispin’s next birthday， there was a big party.

　　在Crispin的下一个生日，举行了一个大型的生日派对.

　　Family and friends came form all over the land.

　　亲人和朋友每个人都过来一起庆祝.

　　Sir George and his family came too.

　　George先生和他们家人也来了。

　　Lots of dragons were dancing，Crispin stood with his mouth open wide.

　　很多恐龙都在跳舞。Crispin张得嘴巴大大的。

　　Fire still did not come out，Music came out instead.

　　还是没有火喷出，相反是喷出音乐来 。

　　“Your son，”said an old uncle to Crispin‘s father，

　　一个年长的伯伯跟Crispin的爸爸说，你的儿子。

　　“He’s not your typical dragon，is he？”

　　”他是不是典型会喷火的恐龙，是吧？

　　“No，”replied Crispin‘s father proudly.

　　是的”Crispin爸爸自豪睇回答

　　“My son is something special.”

　　“我的儿子是在某方面典型的。”

　　And then he jumped up and danced to Crispin’s music， too

　　然后他也跟着Cirspin喷出的音乐一起跳舞。
