is a gothic novella by Scottish author Robert Louis Stevenson, first published in 1886. The work is also known as Jekyll and Hyde. It is about a London Legal practitioner named Gabriel John Utters who investigates strange occurrences between his old friend, Dr Henry Jekyll, and the evil Edward Hyde. The novella’s impact is such that it has become a part of the Language with the phrase’ Jekyll and Hyde’  entering the vernacular to refer to people with an unpredictable dual nature: usually very good but sometimes shockingly evil.

The double life of Alfred Bloggs

is a story by L.G. Alexander . It is about a man named Alfred Bloggs who lives a double life as a dustman and as a white collar worker. Since Alfred felt embarrassed to tell his wife he was a dustman, he simply told her that he worked in a big company and everyday he wore a uniform to go to work and then changed into overalls. He led a double life and he did this for a total three years.

Admittedly, people have right to  choose the way that they want to be! However, it is still curious that why some people choose the life that Alfred Bloggs has lead.

The reason is simply…..

Such is human nature that a great many people are often willing to sacrifice higher pay for the privilege of becoming white-collar worker.
