【托福培训-写作】神一样存在的那些词 (3)

前两次我们分别介绍了通过 including 和 especially 来对句子进行扩展，今天想和大家整理和分享一下托福写作中最常用，大家最熟悉，但同时也是最“有效”的扩展神器— with .

我们来看下面这个句子：

An increasing number of enterprises have formed in big Chinese cities.

这个句子当然可以通过including和especially进行扩展，如：

An increasing number of enterprises have formed in big Chinese cities, including those either in coastal areas or in remote provinces.

An increasing number of enterprises have formed in big Chinese cities, especially those maintaining a strong connection with many world famous cities.

这里，大家有没有回忆起那个从你写作伊始就伴你左右的短语：with the advanced development of science and technology. 虽然不推荐把这个词组“僵化”的用在我们的托福写作中；但不可否认，with结构置于句首着实也是托福写作中句子扩展的重要“法器”，如我们可以把例句扩展为：

With the construction of an advanced economic development zone, an increasing number of enterprises have formed in big Chinese cities.

>>> 同样的方法可以用在下面的句子中：

（科技类话题）

With the Internet and our increasingly diverse society, people are now able to pursue a greater range of interests to a degree that would have been impossible twenty-five years before.

大家要注意with后面不能接完整的句子，而需要“萌萌的”名词性词组。

（个人偏好类话题）

With the common goal of building a good enviornment for all, students will become far more self-conscious than before in dormitories.

with结构置于句尾也是“妥妥的”。

>>> 托福写作with的“四大金刚”短语

仅仅会使用with来营造你托福写作的“小家”，充其量也就是一个“毛胚房”，“精装修”的过程往往需要的是与with相关的短语，称之为“四大金刚”：

with the emergence of 伴随着...的出现

（教育类话题）

With the emergence of more confident, knowledgeable and competent individual student, the personal values of teachers are perfectly justified.

with the advancement of 伴随着...的发展

（个人偏好类话题）

With the advancement of civil society, people today are attaching greater importance to the pursuit of spiritual comfort.

with the assistance of 在...帮助下

（科技类话题）

With the assitance ofadvanced technology, telephone and cyber contacts have been made more vivid and personalized.

with the purpose of 以...为目的

（教育类话题）

With the purpose of establishing a more efficient basic education system, authorities are obliged to draw up scientific teaching strategies for all primary schools.

>>> 大家可以尝试用with的“四大金刚”短语扩展下面的句子，并将答案和大家一起分享：

Many university students prefer to join various interest groups and clubs, and unsurprisingly, it is in such places that the closest friends might be made.

It is a must for students who study abroad to be fully immersed into a new environment and initmately contact the details of life there.
