Currently，the awareness of healthier lifestyle enables increasing numbers of people to pay closer attention to physical exercise. A great many people are fond of watching various sports competition or just diving into diverse physical activities. However, people have been debating，for many years， whether or not sports events could help people to acquire more knowledge about life. To voice my opinion, sports could greatly conduce to enriching one’s experience of the world in some aspects, but not in all fields.

A case in point is that one might be seduced into buying those fake or unqualified goods and thus fall into various consumption traps during the process of taking part in the tour organized by travel agency. However, a fall into the pit, a gain in your wit. One’s self-protection awareness could be raised after the unpleasant and bitter experiences.

This debate reminds me of my own story. Another crucial ability every individual has to learn is the independent viability. Studying abroad is an effective way for people to develop and cultivate their competences. To illustrate，I stayed in a homestay family in the USA in the summer vacation of 2012, I had to deal with a number of housework by myself such as tidying up the room, doing the washing or cooking for myself. This experience greatly trained my adaptability and viability.

Indeed， I have to concede that a sea of life experiences, wisdoms and the philosophy of life could be acquired through taking part in sports activities. After all, every sports event has its own charm. Take basketball as an example, every individual including spectators to players could benefit from the performance they appreciate or demonstrate such as the teamwork spirit, co-operation and the spirit of never giving up halfway. Imaginably , these skills can help them in their later lives and also in their further careers. Likewise, the constant efforts after each failure in sports competition could inspire people to brave new challenges. What I want to rebut that, however, is that there are still wisdoms or lessons that could not be obtained by sports events.
