一、明确告知选项个数

随便翻一道多选题，阅读它的题目指令，就会发现任何一道多选都不会藏头露尾，它总是很坦然地告诉你，你要选2个，或者3个，或者4个…

例1：剑5T1P1:

Questions 1-3

Choose THREE letters A-H

Write your answers in boxes 1-3 on your answer sheet.

NB Your answers may be given in any order.

Which THREE of the following statements are true of Johnson's Dictionary？

例2：剑8T3P2:

Questions 14-18

Choose FIVE letters, A-K.

Write the correct letters in boxes 14-18 on your answer sheet.

NB      Your answers may be given in any order.

Below are listed some popular beliefs about genius and giftedness.

Which FIVE of these beliefs are reported by the writer of the text?

二、选项数对应题量

国内考试中的多选题，一般不告诉你选几个，而且最可怕还在于多选少选就不给分，必须得刚好选到正确数量的正确选项。而雅思考试不但直接告诉你选几个，而且更NICE的是每个选项都是一道题，所以只要你选对一个，就可以得到一个勾。比如上面例1是选THREE，所以给到的题号是1-3；例2是选FIVE, 所以给到题号14-18.而且，每道题都会有个NB(请注意)，很温馨地提示你，Your answers may be given in any order. 也就是说，在这几个题号中，你只要选到对的选项填上对的字母即可。

三、正确答案相对集中

关于多选题的解答，还有至关重要的一点是它有针对性的范围，从来没有一道多选是要看完全文才能做的，所以我们说，多选题的正确答案，一般集中在1-2段。

如上例2，题目指令说：

Below are listed some popular beliefs about genius and giftedness.

Which FIVE of these beliefs are reported by the writer of the text?

考生应当根据提示，去文中寻找描述“popular beliefs”的段落：

原文：The concept of genius and of gifts has become part of our folk culture, and attitudes are ambivalent towards them. We envy the gifted and mistrust them. In the mythology of giftedness, it is popularly believed that if people are talented in one area, they must be defective in another, that intellectuals are impractical，…

这个时候，考生应该果段使用SKIM跳读法，每段看个开头一两句，基本就能定位到段落。

剑桥系列所有多选中唯一一道令人定位困难的，是剑5第一篇，即以上所举例

1. 题干中能用以定位的信息只有这一句：

Which THREE of the following statements are true of Johnson's Dictionary？

而题中唯一可定位的词Johnson's Dictionary又刚好是本篇文章的大标题，因此有考生以为这组多选是要看全文的，但是我们若留意选项，会发现所以选项都是针对Dictionary的，所以只要寻找到直接描述Dictionary相关信息的段落即可。

A    It avoided all scholarly words.

B    It was the only English dictionary in general use for 200 years.

C    It was famous because of the large number of people involved.

D    It focused mainly on language from contemporary texts.

E    There was a time limit for its completion.

F    It ignored work done by previous dictionary writers.

G    It took into account subtleties of meaning.

H    Its definitions were famous for their originality.

让我们跳读一下原文------

P1: For the century before Johnson's Dictionary was published in 1775, there had been concern about the state of the English language. … （显然不是）

P2: There had, of course, been dictionaries in the past, …（显然不是）

…

P4: Johnson was a poet and critic who raised common sense to the heights of genius…（显然还不是）

P5: The work was immense; filling about eighty large notebooks (and without a library to hand), Johnson wrote the definitions of over 40,000 words, and illustrated their many meanings with some 114,000 quotations drawn from English writing on every subject, from the Elizabethans to his own time. （BINGO,找到了！！！）

四、按文章顺序答题

最后一点，找到题目所对应的段落之后，应按文章顺序答题。因为选项无序，且有一些选项是混淆项。但是文章内容多，选项多，怎样才能有条理地筛选而不至于大脑容量不够，则应采取以下原则：每看原文一到两句，到选项中筛选一次，把能选的选出，能排的排掉，然后再读一到两句，再进行一次排选。以此类推，直至选到全部选项。

当然，如果考生脑容量较大，则可以选阅读选项，记住每个选项关键词，然后对原文相应段落进行扫读，对于踩点的原句进行细读，没有踩点的句子则迅速带过。如此，也能顺利解决多选题。方法可以因人而异，只要将其特点牢记于心，则万变不离其宗，问题便可迎刃而解！
