　　[释] to flatter, especially for future gain;

　　[例] He butters up the director to get a raise in his salary.;

　　butt head

　　[释] a stupid, obstinate, or perverse person;

　　[例] You'd better save your breath. He won't listen because he is a butt head.

　　butt hurt

　　[释] offended, upset, or angry, usually by a small slight or a friendly insult;

　　[例] I was just kidding. Don't get butt-hurt!;

　　butt in

　　[释] to interrupt;

　　[例] John told his brother not to butt in when he was on the phone with his girlfriend.

　　butt-load

　　[释] a great quantity;

　　[例] Tommy's new invention helped him win a fat contract and of course a butt-load of money.;

　　butt monkey

　　[释] a sycophant, or "brown-noser" ;

　　[例] Jones is such a kiss-ass butt monkey and no one likes his in the office.
