Art：the use of the imagination to express ideas or feelings, particularly in painting, drawing or sculpture or the skill of creating objects such as paintings and drawings, especially when you study it
这个雅思口语话题是有一定的难度，因为很多问题我们基本上是不会考虑的，可能一些学艺术的孩子会好一点，至少他们能感受到学艺术的奥妙或是能给他们的生活带来什么样的好处和不同。我们先来分析一下问题哈~
1. Do you like art?
2. Do you think art classes are necessary? (Why?)
3. How do you think art classes affect children’s development?
4. What benefits does (participating in) art bring to people? /
What benefits can you get from painting as a hobby?
5. How important do you think art is in the lives of people?
6. What can we learn from western paintings? How do you feel about it?
7. What kind of paintings do Chinese people like?
8. Why do you think people like to have a painting (or other artwork) in their homes?
9. Have you ever been to an art gallery before?
我们暂且Art 的话题分为这5个类型
类型1：
1. Do you like art?
2. Do you think art classes are necessary? (Why?)
3. How do you think art classes affect children’s development?
4. What benefits does (participating in) art bring to people? /
What benefits can you get from painting as a hobby?
5. How important do you think art is in the lives of people?
我们不难发现，这几个题大都是在说艺术的影响，艺术的好处以及艺术的重要性，所以我
就可以脑补出一系列艺术的好处，来灵活的应用在这几个题目上。
解题步骤 step 1：
先描述一下大众对于艺术的感觉~
The general opinion seems to be that art isn't the most useful subject to study.
It seems that schools do not appreciate the importance of art in building a kid’s brain.
step 2：如果你喜欢
艺术的好处 the benefit of arts
① 找到自己的兴趣爱好：Try your hand at drawing, photography, dancing, creative writing, or music— you're bound to find a talent you never knew you had.
② 对工作有益：Art is beneficial for your future. You may have a hard time convincing your parents of this, but it's true. Studying art actually improves brain function, and there are tons of careers related to creativity— web designers, interior decorators, and graphic artists, just to name a few.
③ 会成为焦点： when you show your talent in art shows， others will treat you as an uniquely talented and offered with an envious eye to you.
④ 创造性思维：think creatively, with an open mind
⑤ 锻炼右脑：The right brain is used in emotional perception, intuition and creativity.
⑥ 艺术的修养的如绘画，养花，弹琴或者写作都是能帮你锻炼到右脑的好方法：artistic pursuits such as drawing, creating mandalas, playing a musical instrument, and even creative writing can help you to develop the right-hemisphere of the brain.
⑦ 陶冶情操修身养性：cultivate one's taste= self-cultivation
⑧ 放松心情：relax=make me at ease=loosen up in mind and body= free your body of tension=the cure for stress=lay the bridle on the neck of
⑨ 打发时间： kill=pass time
⑩ 身心发展: develop oneself physically and mentally
如果你不喜欢：
艺术没什么大不了的：
① 浪费时间： waste time on painting or pottery
② 成本太高： waste of money= money-consuming= cost=pay=spend too much
③ 影响学习： interfere with one's study= ~is a distraction from your study
④ 需要耐心： it takes time to = need patience =calls for patience
⑤ 没有艺术细菌： I am not a arty man
⑥ 没有用： useless
类型2：What can we learn from western paintings? How do you feel about it?
我们能从西方绘画上学习到什么吗?宝宝雅思口语中就想说，天雷滚滚啊，我连中国画都不太看，确实!此时此刻除了艺术生们，基本上其他娃儿都一脸茫然。两个词western paintings 那么重点就是 western西方的，我们只要在这个上面做文章就好，西方的东西肯定跟我们不一样啊，我们就可以从文化，宗教甚至是流派上说一说。如果你想说，说什么呢，我怎么什么也听不懂，那就直接了当，告诉考官说：“我~我也不知道啊，我不懂艺术，在我看来没啥区别啊。”
Western painting：
学习了解：get to know
当地的文化： local culture
当时历史：historical events
宗教：religion
西方绘画流派：understand=get to know = western painting school
感受中西方在绘画艺术上的不同：experience the unique in the artistic style
哎妈呀，看不懂没啥区别啊：To be honest , I am a layman in art , I can see nothing different between them.
门外汉： layman= Amateur 业余的，外行的
类型3：What kind of paintings do Chinese people like?
中国人喜欢什么样的画，这个问题范围很大，整个中国的爱好实在是很难猜，那我们就分类，基本上还是以age group 来分会好说一点，年纪大一点的可能会比较喜欢一些山水画或是国画。相反，如今有点艺术感的年轻人会喜欢一些肖像画或是具有现代风的画。
画的类型 the type of painting：
Chinese painting 国画
oil painting 油画
watercolor 水彩画
pastel drawing 蜡笔画
landscape 风景画
portrait 肖像
brush drawing 毛笔画
类型4： Why do you think people like to have a painting (or other artwork) in their homes?
画的作用：
decoration
for appreciation
display one’s taste=status
add an artistic treat to our daily life
类型5：Have you ever been to an art gallery before?
art gallery ：a building where paintings and other works of art are shown to the public
如果去过的话，那我们就简单介绍下，什么时候去的，跟谁，什么感受就可以。感受方面当然还是夸奖艺术有多好，但是注意一点，“失态”，“师太” ，“时态”!!! 重要的事情说三遍。
如果没去过，也不要直接说No，I haven’t . 太简单了，我们还是要给出个原因，为啥没去过，你可以说学习很忙，总是错过。或者你根本就不是个arty man，也不会关心有没有艺术展，更不会去看。
词汇补充：
在~的陪伴下： with the company of
开阔眼界： broaden one’s eyes
欣赏了不同形态的艺术： appreciate kinds of art forms
忙的脱不开身 be tied up with
没有艺术细菌：I am not an arty man，so visiting an art gallery is not my thing.
换句话说，我从来也没关注过 In other words = That is to say， I’ve never concern about it.
好了，以上就是所有关于art 艺术类的题目分析，只要大家搞定了这个话题，那么之前的旧话题painting(依旧存在哦~)大家也可以融会贯通了。
