雅思口语:a time you were busy.

雅思口语机经里又出现了一道对于中国考生的“送分题”:a time you were busy.

Well, so far the busiest time of my life was my senior year in high school.

As you know, Chinese students have to take the college entrance exam, which is literally a life-and-death exam, ‘cause it would decide what level of university you could attend, and in China, degree and diploma is the first priority for employers who are looking for hire. So it’s fairly to say, in a sense, this exam would consequently affect our future career.

So as you can imagine, every day I was under huge pressure, and what is worse, my daily schedule was incredibly tight. I had to spend all of my waking hours studying and preparing for the exam, which left me no time to chill out.

Usually, my day started at 5:30, and I had to get to school before 7. And then, my whole day was fully occupied with 5 classes in the morning and 4 in the afternoon. On top of that, we were required to take the evening class from 6 to 10. I know it sounds hard to believe, but that was exactly how I spent my senior year.

Luckily, I was not alone. All of my classmates were all as stressed out as I was. And looking back, it actually feels good knowing that there’re friends fighting together for our dreams. And now I have lived through that darkest time, and that experience has become kind of a precious memory, and I definitely become stronger and tougher, it’s like nothing will ever bring me down. So although it’s been a torture, I’m actually pretty grateful.

就好像心理医生的经典台词:how does that make you feel?
