雅思口语里关于我们的一个good personality，强烈建议大家找一个能对上雅思口语机经里其他题目的来讲，比如forgiving(对应别人跟你道歉，或者有一丢丢生气的经历)，helpful(对应乐于助人的经历)，generous(对应跟别人share某物的经历)等等。
Describe a character or personality of yours
You should say:What this personality is
When you found that you had this personality
What the benefits and drawbacks are， and explain whether you like this personality or not
不过乐于助人我个人感觉跟雅思口语最好套，所以我们来尝试一下：
第一段可以自然引入：
Well, I
don’t want to brag, but my friends usually call me a willing helper ‘cause I’m
always willing to lend others a hand, even though sometimes it can cause myself
a lot of trouble.
或者更直接一点儿：
My
friends always think of me as a warm-hearted and helpful person.
下面的思路可以是这样的：

benefit from this personality?
我们挨个来看在雅思口语中如何说：
有关“是如何获得这个性格特点的”，最常用的、最好说的就是“家教好父母遗传”呗：
I guess
I got that personality from my parents who have set a really good example to
me. They always say that a simple act of kindness can create a ripple that
comes back to me. Actually, I don’t have a purpose when I do others a favor. It
just feels great knowing that I could be of some help.
下面开始举例子。这个助人为乐的例子可以有很多，不过“扶老奶奶过马路”这个就不要说了吧，除非咱们的功底很好，能把这么一件简单的事情说的很生动，否则还是选择一些有点儿“情节”的来讲吧，毕竟我们还是要凑时间的。同学有难啦，帮邻居babysit啦，都是可供选择的题材，咱们先来个发生频率稍大一些的但是特别像小学政治课文的：帮助住院同学补习功课。
One of
my friends broke his leg in a basketball match, and he was hospitalized for a
week, during which time he missed a whole bunch of classes. The worst part was,
the final examination was just around the corner. I was really concerned about
him. So after he was discharged from the hospital, I would go to his place and
bring my note to him everyday after school. And I had to pay extra attention
during class because I needed to repeat what I’d learned to my friend. So you
see, back then I was like his personal tutor, and because of my help, he wasn’t
left behind that much.
接下来就是你的性格特点给你带来的benefits啦：
I
suppose I’ve benefit a lot from this personality. I have a great interpersonal
relationship at school, and whenever I’m in trouble, my friends are all willing
to help me out. That’s why I think being helpful is really a good personality
of mine.
除了帮助同学，我们还可以有其他乐于助人的例子，例如“帮助患有阿尔茨海默症的老人找到家人”，“帮助迷路的小女孩儿回家”，“帮助邻居空槽老人安装Wi-Fi”等等。
下面是帮助老人的片段，供大家参考：
One day,
on my way home after school, I saw an old lady standing at the corner of the
street, looking worried. She constantly looked around, which seemed like she
was looking for something. I thought she lost her stuff, so I came up to her,
you know, to see if I could help. But it turned out she was lost, I mean, she
couldn’t find her way home, and the worst part was, she couldn’t even remember
her home address. I realized she must be one of those senior citizens who have
got the Alzheimer’s disease. So I tried to find the yellow wristband, which is
something the government give out to those patients with their relative’s
contact number on it. But unfortunately, she wasn’t wearing one. I called the
police, and they took her to the police station. So I left knowing that she was
in good hands. I’m sure the policeman would help her find her family.
