   Good morning/afternoon professors:

    It’s really a great honor to have this opportunity for the interview. I’m XXX, a student of Heng Shui high school in He Bei. And I have dreamed of entering Xi’an Jiaotong University for years.    I have been doing well in my study and remained ahead in the class. In the past years, I have won several awards in the national math competitions. In Heng Shui high school, I received the second-class reward in National Mathematics League in all of He Bei without any professional training. I'd like to challenge myself in different fields. Not only do well in maths and physics, I also like reading books about history and Tang and Song Poetry. Although I am a science student, I am talkative just like a liberal art student.

    Of course, not that I am a bookworm, but a character and cheerful boy, who is interested in astronomy and geography as well as domestic and international situation. So my hobbies is very extensive. Apart from study, I usually participate in all kinds of activities, such as reading competition, technological innovation competition and the school sports. Basketball is my favorite sport. I enjoy the feel of dribble, the cheering after shooting and the exciting moment of victory. I woud like to get out into the beauty of nature and seek truth from practice. As the saying goes, “Read ten thousand books, travel ten thousand miles”, which is regarded as my faith in life.  After three years of temper in my Alma Mater, I have became an all-round developed student with strong mind, compassionate, and motivating inspiration. What’s more, I am very determined and have my own opinions. I am fearless of difficulties, which I think can inspire my confidence and allow me to reach my full potential.  The strong desire for knowledge has promoted my progress in subjects. Xi’an Jiaotong University with a long history , a profound cultural background and a strong sense of the times possesses extensive education and teaching resources and has favorable academic atmosphere. If I have the honor to be your school admission, I will work even harder. On the one hand, I will try to learn professional knowledge. On the other hand, I would like to study the knowledge of other respects and involve myself in campus activities. Meawhile I will take more communication with my teachers and classmates. During the four years in college, I hope I will be one of the outstanding students in Xi’an Jiaotong University. I’m looking forward to finishing my bachelor’s degree here.
