Q1: How would local culture influence language learning?
Local culture - value, custom, lifestyle, the way we talk, food, clothes, people’s relationships
Language learning - speak, read, write, listen, communication
I do find local culture would have a strong influence on language learning.(第一步,呼应主题)
Take Chinese people learning how to communicate in English for example, in our culture we tend to ..., (例子展开)so we seldom say something like “How are you doing” to each other.
Therefore we might find a bit difficult to learn those greeting language and use them in English, simply because we don’t even say these stuffs in our daily life.
Q2: Gender inequality is still a very common phenomenon. Will this situation change in the future?
Gender inequality - job, role in a family, sport, labor work, manager
To be honest, I don’t think this situation will change too much in the future.(片面深刻)The reason is that we have a systematic prejudice about what men should do and what women should do for a long time, and this prejudice is difficult to change in a short time.(给理由)
(举例1)For instance, when talking about the role in family, ...
(举例2)Also, when you are looking for a job, ...
Though in recent years, things seem to change a little bit, such as, ...
Still I’m not optimistic about the future.
Q3: At what legal age do people get married in your country?
I’m not sure, probably it is like, urm, 22 or 23 years old, I guess.(表不确定性)
But the thing is that I always find these days people tend to get married after 30 years old. It’s quite common. Maybe they want to establish their career first, and then thinking about forming a family.(展开1)
As far as I now, in some rural areas, people tend to get married as soon as they reached the legal age, as it is a tradition. After all, it is just a personal choice, I think.(展开2)
Q4: Some celebrities do not behave themselves, and tend to have a negative influence on the society. Why do you think is the reason for this?
Well, in my opinion, there are several reason why celebrities don’t behave themselves.
To start with, some famous people haven’t received a good education Though they might be famous on their particular areas, they cannot tell the difference between right and wrong. (给观点)Like some sports star, I always hear the news that they involve themselves in some fighting in a bar, gambling, taking drugs or something like that.(举例子)
Apart from that, I also want to point out that, we sometimes over expect the celebrities’ behavior. After all, most of them are still normal guys, and normal people might make mistakes, even commit some serious crimes. Famous people are not saint people. There is no reason to anticipate that they are the role or model of the society.(给第二个理由)
What I mean is, part of the problem is about them, but we also cannot over expect and regard them as idols.
Q5: Do you think people who give help to others should get paid?
In fact, that is a very controversial issue.(本题采用正反都发表观点的“模糊”答题法)
On the one hand, for those people who help you, they might sacrifice their own time, money, even risk their life, for instance, save you when you get flooded in the water. So it is reasonable to give them a certain compensation as a way to show your respect and thankfulness.(先说第一个方面)
However, the problem is that, if we focus too much on getting paid, some people might use this opportunity to make money. Like, before they give you help, they will ask for money at first. That really betray the true meaning of helping.(转折,提出物极必反的观点)
Anyway, my point is, giving certain amount of compensation is reasonable, but we cannot only focus on the money, and we still need help others regardless of any economical profits.(总结)
