　　我的祖父是一名中医，开有自己的诊所，所以说现在祖父还在给别人看病，有自己的收入。祖父家境比 较好，家人支持他上了大学，祖父凭借自己的能力先在医院工作了一段时间，后来开了自己的诊所。不过 因为我的专业也不和医学有关，所以将来不会从事这方面的工作。

　　I’d like to talk about my grandfather, a doctor of traditional Chinese medicine. Owning an individual clinic, he makes his own money even at the moment. And attributed to(由于) his remarkable skills and amicability, he is fairly(相当地，等于very) respectable in the neighborhood(在那块地方，那块区域 (一般指某个城市或者村里的某块社区)). I learnt it from my dad that grandpa got the opportunity to go to a college with the support of his family. After graduation, he first worked in a hospital. Then with his skills sharpened(提高技能) as well as experience broadened(丰富经验), he took out a loan(贷款) and opened his own clinic, quite a small one in the first place. I remember that I hated that tiny clinic when I was a child, since the whole room was dim and full of an unpleasant smell – you know, the smell of traditional medicine. Later, my grandpa expanded(扩大) the little clinic a bit with the profits he made and the financial support(经济支持) offered by my parents. With the storefront enlarged(扩大店面), you could really see more patients coming in for diagnoses. It was probably the smell of the clinic that really disgusted me when I was little, when I swore that being a doctor would be my last consideration for a job(做什么也不会做医生). But my major does not relate to medicine anyway, so probably I’ll do something else in the future.
