Speaker 1: Everybody settle down! First of all, may I have your assignment, please? Thank you! Now let's pick up where we have just left off. In the previous lecture, talked about the Renaissance period…
Speaker 2: Good evening, Miss. How many are you? Three?OK. There is a table available near the window. Do you want to order right now? Here's the menu. May I recommend the chef's specialty: home-made onion soup and then to follow, Scottish Salmon garnished with the chef's own special dressing.
Speaker 3: Right,Mr. Baines. Now open up and wide. A bit wider. That's good. Now let's have a look. The filling needs redoing. Right bottom there is chipped. Ah, there is a little piece of food trapped here. Yes, now you were complaining of a pain here on the upper left. Yes, we are going to take an X-ray.
Speaker 4: good morning ladies and gentlemen. On behalf of Captain Kirk and the crew, welcome to this British Airway flight to New York. In accordance with international regulations, the cabin staff will now demonstrate procedures
Speaker 5: good morning Madam. Did you realize that your car is parked on a double yellow line? This is no-parking area and you are disrupting the traffic. I'm afraid I'm going to have to give you a parking ticket.
Speaker 6: yes, the trousers are a bit tight, sir. Let me bring you a larger size to try on. Um, a 34 waist should do it. The jacket is a perfect fit, isn't it? The dark blue really suits you. I'll just go and check if we have a larger size in stock.
Speaker 7: just love that record! A golden oldie from the 60's by the “the kinks” that one was especially for Tony Lynn for his birthday from his friends at Manhattan. Hope you enjoyed that one. Tony, and you just have a wonderful birthday. OK, you're now on Easy Music 57.6 FM.
Speaker 8: Nearly there, sir. It was Long Road, wasn't it? Here we are, number 43, I'll just park behind the lorry. Right, that'll be 10.2 please.

Welcome to library orientation. I know you must be very exhausted after so many orientation sessions, especially for those international students who may still be suffering from jet lag. So, I am going to offer you the essential points. First of all, location. The library is located right next to the cafeteria. Then, it is open from Monday to Friday at 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturdays. The library is closed on Sundays and for Christmas and Easter. As undergraduate students, you enjoy full membership of the university, which means you may loan books, reserve books, use library computers etc. The library holds extensive collections of books, journals, maps, microfilms, photographs and sound recordings published at home and overseas. If you have further inquiries, feel free to call 333000 or email library@university.uk. Have a nice day!
Tuition awards will appear on your university enrollment bill after you have registered for courses. Fellowship stipend checks may be picked up after University Enrollment. Please consult your award package for detailed information. If you wish to audit a course, do not register for the course on line. You should write “auditor” next to the course number on your registration worksheet and present the form to the Student Services Center. The audited course will appear on your transcript with a grade of “R”. You cannot add or drop an auditing status once registration is completed
