在2014最后一个季度的口语题目中，新加入了很多物品以及事件类题目。而很多同学则对其中的某些难题感到无话可说。下面我们就来分析一下物品题中的两道题目。

1    Describe a good law in your country.

首先，看到LAW这三个字母的时候，很多同学都是呈脑中一片空白状态，因为并不是所有人都会对我们国家的法律很了解，更不要说一个“好的/受欢迎的”法律。

首先，当我们讲到法律的时候，首先需要知道的是法律的内容。

Content and Function of Law

· Restrict

· Punishment

· Protect

· (Permission)

Restrict 即为“限制”，法律规定了“不可为”，也就是说很多法律当中都限制了一定的非法行为 (illegal activities/behaviors)

Punishment 即为“惩罚”，只要有关于非法行为的内容，就一定会有惩戒措施，大部分都是罚款（fine/penalty fee），或是有期徒刑(imprisonment)

Protect 即为“保护”，法律作为一个工具，同时也起到了保护作用，只是看不同的法律所保护的对象不同

Permission 即为“许可”，并不是所有法律都有例外，但部分法律是可以给与有关机构或有关人士一定的许可

下面我们来看一个例子。

1.1  Wild animal protection law （野生动物保护法）

·Restrict illegal hunting activities, especially wild animal hunting activities, and also trafficking（非法贩卖）activities;

·According to this law, people who commit illegal activities would be punished,they will be fined, or sentenced to at least three years’ imprisonment.

·According to this law, government could provide research organization with permission so that they could use the resource properly for research and study.

·This law protects wild animal effectively, and protects species diversity.

从上面的几个点我们可以看到，如何把一开始的四个点，展开到这四段话。而大部分同学可能会涉及到的法律，无外乎几个。

· Wild animal protection law

· One-child policy

· Drunk driving law (regulation)

在上面的三条中，只有Drunk driving (酒驾)是没有例外可言的，这点请同学们一定要注意。

如果说法律和道德是两条标准的话，那道德标准是相对来说低于法律，且我们国家的每个人都必须遵守的（Lower standard），而法律是相对于一些特定人群的更高一些的标准（Higher standard）

A1: Law is like the guardian of our country, it protect the people and protects the country away from illegal activities. And it’s different from moral standard, which is suitable for everyone in this society; law is only for some specific people.

Q2: Are all laws fair?

A2: Well, it depends. For most of the severe cases, laws are fair. However, for some tricky cases, we have no choice but to find the balance between law and moral.

2    Describe an APP that you think is useful

随着手机在我们生活中的普及，越来越多人的生活离不开手机，或者，离不开手机里的APP（应用程序）

说到应用程序，就不得不提到它的功能，下面来看一个例子

Functions of WeChat

·Keep in contact with friends, send and receive messages and voice messages.

·Share photos with friends

·Share music, websites and all kinds of information

·Share location with friends so that they could find your location instead of getting lost·Payment platform which is safe and brings us convenience

·Video call (similar withFacetime)

而说到像微信这一类的应用程序，想要让内容更加丰满一些的话，最好还是做一定的过去和现状的对比。

Comparison

·In the past, we could only send messages but not voice messages; but now, we could hear our friends’ and parents’ voice;

·In the past, if we wanted to send photos, we had no choice but to send photos via email as attachments, if we wanted to receive the photos, we had to wait for ages;

·If we did not use iPhone, it would be impossible for us to make video call, but now we are able to see our friends and family even they are far away from us using WeChat.

而说到APP和现代科技，同学们还需要知道它们的利弊。

Upsides

· Brings our life countless convenience

· We could work and communicate effectively

· Save time and money

Downsides

·Lead to passiveness and the feeling of dependency

·Cause decreasing social competence (ability)

·People are lacking communication and relationship is not as close as before
